Designer Door Sign

This piece originally came from something very personal to designer Nod.

Years ago, Nod found an original 1930s American pharmacy prescription sign in a vintage antique store. He was immediately drawn to it. To him, there is a subtle but meaningful connection between designers and pharmacists — between a design studio and a prescription. Both exist to help people solve problems in quiet, practical, everyday ways, yet both also carry a sense of trust, precision, and care.

Nod later hung that original sign on the door of his Los Angeles office.

This product is a recreation of Nod’s own door sign. The proportions were redesigned to 47 × 154 mm, with refined colors and graphic details. The original wood material has been upgraded to metal, finished with a high-grade kiln-fired enamel coating, giving it a refined surface, depth of color, and strong visual presence.

Magnets are embedded on the back, allowing it to be hung or attached directly to metal surfaces, such as refrigerators.
